It's a beautifully quiet Sunday here, and I was able to finish my journal piece.
Without setting my alarm early!
It went through several transitions.
Adding blue, green...
Adding, adding, covering, layering...
Changing.
Contemplation adds to the changes.
Thinking as I put it together..
About vulnerability, weakness,
weakness and strength.
That there are places and times for hallelujahs, and different times for quiet and searching.
I feel the piece is finished, but I am not finished with these thoughts.
Have a fabulous day!
your thoughts and your beautiful pages speak to my heart dear Lynn ... can't quite put it into words ... many thanks for yours dear one!

Just gorgeous, Lynn! I love all of the different layers and colors, the words, too! And the angel and sweet bird are perfect. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very lovely piece, Lynn! I love the thoughts, colors, textures...very pretty!
ReplyDeleteLynn, everything about your journal gets an enthusiastic two thumbs up from me. It's perfect, and I know that you'll find a great deal of peace in writing down your thoughts in it.
ReplyDeleteAnd they will be better than a Hallelujah.
And BTW, replicas would very probably sell well at a craft fair. Just tossing that out there...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!! So glad you found some quiet time to finish this piece and shared it with us!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE working in my journal. Never enough time as life seems to get in the way...if I ever think I'm going to be stranded on a desert island, I need to remember to bring my journal and supplies, don't you think ?!? :)
Have a great week!

I like Debbie's suggestion very much, sister dear. Wow...powerful piece visually and conceptually. I am in awe and very moved by your ability to create and express. And I haven't found that fountain since the day we saw it. Where is it??? Isn't that weird?
ReplyDeleteThat's a stunning journal, Lynn! I love your angel, and the sweet sentiments expressed. Isn't it the best when you get a quiet stretch to create uninterrupted? Doesn't really happen often enough...:)
ReplyDeleteI loved your comments on my stay-cation post. I was actually thinking about you when I wrote it, remembering how I so enjoyed reading about your lovely summer..just what holiday time should be!
