A Little Creativity

Well. I didn't think I could get ANY creating in this week. But I persevered!! Yes. I dragged things out and worked 1/2 hour intervals and left my kitchen and work room a mess until the next half-hour. Isn't it interesting how the rest of the house goes to pot when you create? I mean, honestly. How ridiculous is that?
 Instead of laundry, I soldered.

and I soldered some more.

Instead of dishes, I made pins. (Really. For two days everything got stacked into the sink)

I haven't made my bed.

And the floors? Have Mercy.

But there are cute things in the world now.

That's got to count for something, right?

I even framed my collage this morning, and I am rather liking it.

Before I go, I want to remind you to come back on SATURDAY!!! I am participating in a "Where Bloggers Create" through Karen Valentine.

If you hop over to Karen's blog on SATURDAY,
you will be able to see tons of blogs and where we women create. It will be a ton of fun!!
I did it last year and met some wonderful people (as always), and saw some really awesome and amazing spaces that women carve out to be able to express their creativity.

I'm off to my niece's graduation today and Saturday is the art fair at Newport Beach.
Wish me luck!!!

  1. Lynn, your creations are BEAUTIFUL! They were well worth the dirty house, too. I really do love the way the collage came out and looks framed.

Those letter necklaces are my favorites.

  2. OH the work is always there... and you creations are beautiful! Love the soldered pendants!s

  3. Oooo! I'm likin' all of that!!!

And I'm thinking that Newport Beach will, too!!!

Love the initials with the touch of bling. Very classy.

    And your house?

    You should see mine.

This garage sale prep is a tough business.

Can't wait to see your post on Saturday!!!!!!!

  4. I love your jewelry and good luck with the art show. Take lots of pics to share.

    Luv Lisa.

  5. Lynn,
You have done some fantastic creating. I love that last flower pin...too cute! Is it made from a handkerchief? And your soldering...you are brave and very creative-great design. I need to start practicing and I just can't get up the courage. Love that collage, too.

I will stop by to see where you create and will be thinking of you and your sale.

    Love you,

  6. Hi Lynn, such lovely creations!

Yes, I understand all about the house going to pot when you create.....oh well.....:-)

    Barb ♥

  7. Love your blog and all that great stuff you made. Thanks for sharing. Susan

  8. Hi Lynn,
I love your soldered pieces and ribbon pins. Don't you think everything looks better once it's framed?
I say, "forget about the housework." I don't think housework should ever take priority over art...unless the health dept. has been called or the Queen is stopping by. LOL.
    Good luck with your show.
