Sunday Sketches

I'm jumping in to join the Sunday Sketches over at Blue Chair Diary.
I was led to this by Fran over at We Three 3. Check out both places-Fran's are crazy good and you will get to see lots more over at Blue Chair Diary!

My mantra for last weekend. I'm needing to pick it up again for the week. The hardest part is being still.
I'm finding I don't do it very well.

Being still would either be first, or a close second to "taking care of you." But I'm learning.

Hope your Sunday is sweet and still...

Ours is full of graduations and open houses, so I'm definitely looking forward to Monday and truly beginning summer vacation!

  10. your pages look wonderful. It takes a lot of practice to take care of ourselves. We always want to take care of others first don't we..

  14. I have long felt that one of the reasons that God gave me fibromyagia was because I used to be one who NEVER relaxed and was never still. It was go go go for me. If I wasn't solving my problems, I was actively chewing on them. Over the past decade, I have become much more of a still person. I'm still not where I'm supposed to be, but as they say, praise God that I'm not what I was.

Your art, as always is not only beautiful, but it speaks to my heart a message.

  15. art camp sounds perfect! I love your sketches, both of them. You always have the best lessons with your beautiful artwork. be still is tough to do, everytime I make a list I end up adding the things that I did but were not on it! Then I cross them off just I can prove to myself and anyone that will look how crazy busy my life is. My neighbor reads my blog and said to me a couple of weeks ago... you haven't been blogging as much. gaaaa! It was good to have someone close by remind me of my to do list! Take care and enjoy some still time. thanks for the visit, t.xoxoxo
