31 for 21, day 6

Today is Friday, and you know what that means...
Food Friday!!
We have a guest photographer today, please welcome

Yep, all photos are courtesy of her magical touch with the iphone!

Rice Krispy treats for the bake sale at school.
(Yes, they sold out.)

Melt 3 tbs. butter in a large pan.
Add 4 cups miniature marshmallows and stir until melted.

Pour in 6 cups of rice cereal and stir until it is a uniformly gooey mess.

Pour into greased pan.

Use a piece of wax paper and pat down to form a square.
Add sprinkles if desired.

We used an extra big lasagna pan. We hear high school students like large quantities of baked goods, and we aim to please. Three batches filled this big pan.
 Let cool.
Cut into large squares.
Melt chocolate into a double boiler and dip/smear/ somehow get chocolate to coat the end of each monstrous square.

Add more sprinkles, 'cause they are fun and you can.

  1. Wonderful pictures, Brenna!

It looks delicious, and believe it or not, I had never ever seen chocolate dipped RC treats before. It puts them up much higher on my sweets list if they have chocolate.

    Henceforth, I'm dippin'!

  2. Well I have to say Brenna photos look great... And so do those Rice crispy treats.. YUMMY!! Home made is so mujch better than pre-made from the store.. Hope you guys have a happy weekend..

    Hugs, Linda

  3. They look SO good! And there are gluten free Rice Krispies now...so its back on our diet...yay!
